Yeah, I hate this "binary" polarisation of everything. Brexit was a good example. I'm not discussing the ins and outs of that and I don't really care where you stand on it but the extremes seemed to be the main focus. It was for/against whereas a lot of people were somewhere between the two.
I guess it suits some people's narrative and agenda to try and paint everything as one extreme or another. A lot of people don't do nuance or complexity either, which doesn't help. One thing I've found as I've got a bit older is that I'm rarely black or white on anything as there's usually aspects on both sides that are valid.

Modern life is about use of extremes to describe everything
Happy or Sad? Most people actually dwell around content or bearable with occasional bursts of the two.
Love it - Hate it? I don't love much actually and I hate even less. I often enjoy stuff, am indifferent a lot and often irked.
